The Spectroscopy Group

The Diamond Light Source Spectroscopy Group is dedicated to hard and tender X-ray absorption spectroscopy. Experiments are performed in a range of beamlines that are complementary in many aspects, such as the energy range they cover, the size of the focussed beam spot delivered to the sample, and the time resolution they are able to reach:

The Spectroscopy Group User Meeting 2024

The Spectroscopy Group will be hosting its User Meeting at Diamond Light Source on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of June 2024.

The event will:

  • Feature both invited and contributed speakers as well as a poster session

  • Provide the Diamond Spectroscopy community the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas
  • Cover the major scientific themes relevant for the User Community, including:
    • Energy Materials
    • Earth and Environment
    • Chemistry
    • Catalysis
    • Bioscience

Celebrating Prof. Fred Mosselmans
