Diamond Light Source Photographic Exhibition

62 63 Diamond’s engineers bring to life some of the most challenging and unique equipment in the world via computer-aided design. This assembly is called the Phase Plate Polariser, it polarises the X-ray beam on beamline I16. There are multiple diamond and silicon crystals inside that can be manipulated to get different properties out of the beam. It is often referred to as the Minion Vessel.
