The Cracking Crystals workshop on the 20th Feb will invite visitors to learn about the remarkable ways in which modern scientists use light. From UV to spectroscopy to diffraction, the workshop will shine a light on some of the most important techniques in modern science. Similarly, the family-friendly Diamond Dazzles drop in session on 22nd March will feature hands-on, practical activities with synchrotron scientists.
The exhibition, Diamond in Action: Stories from the Synchrotron will run from now to April 27th. Here, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the giant silver doughnut nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside, and find out about the ways in which it is helping to better the world. There’s loads going on, so why not pop down to the Abingdon Museum today? Who knows what you’ll discover.
