The Minister of State for Cities and Constitution visited the UK’s synchrotron during a trip to Harwell Campus, where he signed the city deal: a government scheme which promises hundreds of millions worth of investment in Oxfordshire.
During his visit to Harwell, Greg Clark was given a tour of Diamond Light Source, where Professor Andrew Harrison, Diamond’s CEO, introduced to scientists currently at work on improved medical implants at the synchrotron.
Diamond Light Source is the UK's national synchrotron science facility, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.
