Welcome Diego!

We are very pleased to welcome a new member of the team, Dr Diego Gianolio. Diego will take responsibility for industrial spectroscopy experiments at Diamond while Anna is on maternity leave. More about Diego...

Diego studied for his degree and PhD in his home town of Torino in Italy. He has spent most of his research career to date focusing on the application of advanced X-ray techniques to the characterisation of advanced materials (including catalysts, micro/nanoporous materials, photoactivatable transition metal complexes, zoned garnet crystals, superconductive whiskers and multi quantum well lasers). His particular specialism lies in X-ray Absorption and Emission techniques with an interest in space- and time- resolved experiments. Prior to joining the Industrial Liaison team, Diego was a beamline scientist on Diamond's B18 Core EXAFS beamline.
